All open burning (any ember-emitting fire) requires a burn permit.
This includes:
wood-burning fire pits (metal store-bought, in-ground, or otherwise)
campfires
chiminea fires
slash burning
outdoor welding or hot work
prescribed burning of fence lines or rows, fields or rangelands
Trash burning is NOT allowed in Park County. No burning outdoors of any kind is allowed during a burn ban.

FINES:
1st offense — $500
2nd offense — $750
3rd offense — $1,000.
